Data protection

Personal data

Personal data are individual details about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as name, address, e-mail and telephone number. The legal principles of data protection can be found in the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the EU Data Protection Basic Regulation (EU-DSGVO, from 25.05.2018) and the Telemedia Act (TMG).

As a rule, it is possible to use our website without providing personal data. The use of individual services on our site may be subject to different regulations, which in this case will be explained separately below and will inform you in particular about the type, scope and purpose of the collection, use and processing of personal data.

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies, which serve to make our Internet presence more user-friendly, more effective and safer - for example when it comes to accelerating navigation on our platform. In addition, cookies enable us to measure the frequency of page views and general navigation.

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer system. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. We would like to point out that some of these cookies are transferred from our server to your computer system, which are usually so-called "session cookies". "Session cookies" are characterized by the fact that they are automatically deleted from your hard disk at the end of the browser session. Other cookies remain on your computer system and enable us to recognize your computer system on your next visit (so-called permanent cookies). You can, of course, refuse cookies at any time if your browser permits this. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of our website to their full extent.

The help function in the menu bar of most web browsers explains how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to inform your browser when you receive a new cookie or how to deactivate all cookies. Similar functions such as Flash cookies, which are used by browser add-ons, can be deactivated or deleted by changing the settings of the browser add-on or via the website of the browser add-on manufacturer.

Active Components

On our websites some active components like Javascript, Java-Applets or Active-X-Controls are used. You can deactivate this function by setting your Internet browser.

This anonymous data is stored separately from any personal data you may have provided and thus does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about a specific person. They will only be passed on to third parties if it is required by law or a court decision orders their passing on. They will not be passed on for commercial or non-commercial purposes.

We reserve the right to subsequently check this data if we become aware of concrete indications of illegal use.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form including the contact data you provided there will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. These data will not be passed on without your consent.

Facebook plugins (like button)

On our pages are plugins of the social network Facebook, provider Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA, integrated. You can recognize the Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the "Like" button on our page. You can find an overview of the Facebook plugins here: developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/. When you visit our pages, the plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Facebook receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. If you click the Facebook "Like" button while logged into your Facebook account, you can link the content of our pages to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to associate visiting our pages with your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we do not have any knowledge of the content of the data transmitted or its use by Facebook. Further information on this can be found in Facebook's privacy policy at de-de.facebook.com/policy.php. If you do not want Facebook to be able to assign visits to our pages to your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account.

Use of Google Analytics with anonymization function

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. Provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will generally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

For more information on how Google Analytics uses user data, please refer to Google's privacy policy: support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245

You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as Google from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Objection to data collection

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie is set to prevent your information from being collected on future visits to this website: Deactivate Google Analytics tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

IP Anonymization

We use the function "Activation of IP anonymization" on this website. However, this will cause Google to shorten your IP address previously within Member States of the European Union or other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA where it will be shortened. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.

Use of Google Maps with recommendation components

We use the component "Google Maps" on our site in combination with the so-called "share function". "Google Maps" is a service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as "Google".

Google sets a cookie each time this component is accessed in order to process user settings and data when the page on which the "Google Maps" component is integrated is displayed. As a rule, this cookie is not deleted when you close your browser, but expires after a certain period of time unless you delete it manually beforehand.

If you do not agree with this processing of your data, it is possible to deactivate the "Google Maps" service and thus prevent the transmission of data to Google. To do this, you must deactivate the Java Script function in your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you cannot use "Google Maps" or can only use it to a limited extent.

The use of "Google Maps" and the information obtained via "Google Maps" is governed by the Google Terms of Use.

www.google.de/intl/de/policies/terms/regional.html as well as the additional terms and conditions for "Google Maps".

www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html

The Google Maps feature also includes the following recommendation buttons:

"Google+-Button" by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA;

"facebook button" of the company facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA;

"Twitter button" of Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.

When the "Google Maps" page is opened, these "recommendation components" cause the browser you are using to download a corresponding display of the component from the respective provider. In this way, the respective provider is informed of which specific page of our website you are currently visiting.

If you are logged in to your personal account with the above-mentioned providers at the time you call up the "Google Maps" page, they can record the information obtained in this way about the website recommended by you as well as your IP address and other browser-related information and link it to your respective account.

If you want to prevent this transmission and storage of data about you and your behaviour on our website by the respective provider, you must log out of these providers before visiting our site.
